We often talk of the industries APM operates within and the specific training and qualifications we undertake, as a company which allows us to work efficiently, effectively and knowledgeably within each given sector.
As we all know, training is not a one-time thing and ongoing learning is required to accommodate changing policies, circumstances and industry laws. At APM we are never complacent and aways strive to stay up to date within our sectors of operation.
Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) is at the core of all our business activity, whereby we all work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements, within the 5 key elements of:
- Teamwork
- Personal Discipline
- Improved Morale
- Quality Circles
- Suggestions for Improvement
Essentially, the Kaizen principal combines the collective talents within a company to create a powerful engine for improvement.
A great number of these skills are transferable, allowing us to work responsibly in a number of industry areas, however, what happens when we come across a new set of challenges, unique to a new sector of operation?
At APM, we actively encourage our teams to look for challenges before they appear, as part of our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategy.
Identifying unique circumstances and challenges is key and reporting to the required personnel which allows for new sets of training to be put in place.
An ongoing learning curve is vital to allow us and our teams at APM to expand and diversify into new areas of operation and that’s exactly what we do; never being afraid to try something new and being prepared to change and accommodate is an integral part of our strategy.
A positive learning environment gives our staff key skills and qualifications, varied experiences and allows them to work within any environment with confidence in their abilities, turning challenges into learning.
